The remuneration paid to Tollywood's top stars has skyrocketed in recent times. Not only have they started demanding a fat paycheck, but also asking for stake in profits.
Mahesh Babu has been following the same for a long time. His GMB Entertainment is being attached to all recent movies like “Maharshi” and “Sarileru Neekevvaru”.
For “Sarileru Neekevvaru”, he grabbed digital, satellite, and Hindi dubbing rights as part of his remuneration.
But this formula is making producers confined to little profits.
Despite delivering a massive hit with “Ala Vaikunthapurramulo”, producer Radhakrishna could not get huge profits as he had to share them with Allu Aravind as a partner.
Allu Arjun insisted that his banner Geetha Arts be made a partner as part of his remuneration for which Trivikram had agreed back then.
For #SSMB28, Mahesh Babu is said to be taking the only remuneration. Finally producers became successful in convincing the star for a huge remuneration and without any other rights. Thus the film was announced.
Sources say that Trivikram helped the producers in this negotiation.
