LP Firm On Sending Naidu To Jail

Nandamuri Lakshmi Parvati, widow of legendary actor and former chief minister N T Rama Rao, declared that she should not rest till she saw Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu thrown behind the bars.

It may be mentioned that the case filed by Lakshmi Parvati against Naidu’s alleged illegal assets in 2004 came up for hearing before the ACB special court on Friday and was adjourned to October 21.

Speaking to media on the occasion, Lakshmi Parvathi said there was no question of leaving Naidu and would continue to pursue the case till he was sent to jail.

“If I don’t get justice in the local court, I will move the high court and even higher courts, if necessary. Under any circumstances, I want to see him behind the bars,” she said. Readmore!

NTR’s widow, presently YSR Congress party holding the position of Andhra Pradesh Telugu Academy chairperson, alleged that Naidu had made every effort to see that the case against him was dropped.

“He brought pressure on me to withdraw the case. He even called me and requested that I take back the case. But I refused to succumb to his pressure tactics,” Lakshmi Parvathi said.

She submitted all the records pertaining to Naidu’s assets starting from 1978 to 2005 to the court, alleging that he had amassed huge wealth through illegal means during this period.

She demanded that the court order a comprehensive inquiry into the assets and wealth of Naidu.
