Lok Satta supports all party candidates!

Lok Satta Party headed by former IAS officer and self-styled intellectual Dr Jayaprakash Narayan ceases to be a political party now, as it is not contesting any elections in the Telugu states.

JP, however, continues to speak politics and take part in political debates.

The other day, he even had an interaction with Bharat Rashtra Samithi working president and Telangana IT minister K T Rama Rao.

Now, with just a week left for the assembly elections in Telangana, Lok Satta Party announced that it would support candidates in various constituencies on individual basis, irrespective of their political affiliation. Readmore!

In the first phase, the Lok Satta announced support for Kota Neelima in Sanathnagar, Vijaya Reddy in Khairatabad, G V Vennela in Secunderabad (all Congress), Mekala Sarangapani in Secunderabad, N V S S Prabhar in Uppal and N Ramachander Rao in Malkajgiri (all BJP), Maganti Gopinath in Jubilee Hills, Ch Malla Reddy in Medchal (both BRS), M Prema Kumar in Kukatpalli (Jana Sena) and Prof Anwar Khan in Amberpet (BSP).

This is perhaps for the first time that a socio-political organisation which has supported candidates of all political parties.

In any case, one wonders whether the Lok Satta has any organisational network to influence voters and whether anybody would listen to, if the Lok Satta tells anybody to vote for a particular candidate.
