The Tirumala Laddu controversy has shaken the entire nation and deeply hurt many Hindus across the country. The suspicions raised in the lab report have been interpreted by many as confirmed findings.
Here is an interesting observation—Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has demanded a CBI inquiry into the matter. The CBI is a central investigative body, and the ruling BJP government is an ally of the TDP. Yet, Chandrababu Naidu has not agreed to it.
Chandrababu Naidu has instead proposed setting up a Special Investigation Team (SIT) and a CID inquiry. However, the irony is that both of these bodies operate under the state government’s jurisdiction and may simply reflect Naidu’s views after the investigation.
If Chandrababu Naidu is confident in his allegations, he should agree to a CBI inquiry. His reluctance to do so raises new suspicions.
Furthermore, Chandrababu has not filed any cases against those allegedly responsible for the adulteration.
If he were confident, he would have initiated the process of arresting those involved, including dairy owners, lab technicians, and TTD officials who approved the adulterated ghee. Yet, no such action has been taken.
Why is he hesitant? This inaction from Chandrababu Naidu raises doubts about the validity of his allegations.
Is Chandrababu intentionally prolonging the controversy for political gain, without seeking a resolution?
If so, this approach may backfire, as these allegations cannot be sustained much longer without arrests and a proper CBI investigation.
