After the successful completion of two seasons of the popular reality show – “Unstoppable with NBK” hosted by senior actor and Telugu Desam Party legislator Nandamuri Balakrishna, the OTT platform “Aha” is now looking for the commencement of the Season-3 shortly.
However, the “Aha” is facing a peculiar problem in commencing the fresh season of Unstoppable with NBK. The problem is about whom to invite as guests to participate in the talk show with Balakrishna.
Some celebrities do not like to interact with Balakrishna, while he doesn’t like some others. And the reality show requires only popular figures, and not mediocre guys, to get the required viewership and it is difficult to find them.
It is learnt the organisers managed to convince megastar Chiranjeevi and he, too, agreed in principle; but it will take some time, as he has been in rest. At least for this season, it may not be possible.
Other celebrities like Nagarjuna, NTR and Kalyanram are ruled out because Balakrishna himself doesn’t like to interact with them. So, the only option is to look for celebrities from other fields.
According to sources, Aha team has consulted Bharat Rashtra Samithi working president and Telangana IT minister K T Rama Rao, who has a lot of craze among the youth and has a celebrity status, no less than any film star.
However, KTR did not evince much interest in the show, let alone in interacting with Balakrishna on the show. Some sources said KTR had expressed his inability to take part in the show, as he would be busy with the assembly elections in the state.
Others said the minister thought it would lead to unnecessary controversy, if he takes part in the reality show at a time when the political atmosphere in the state is very hot and any controversial questions during the show might get magnified by the opposition.
But there is another reason for KTR saying no to the Unstoppable with NBK show, according to highly placed sources. He told the organisers bluntly that he would not like to step into the premises of Aha channel for the simple reason that it is owned by My Home Group headed by J Rameshwar Rao.
It is an open secret that Rameshwar Rao, who was once a close associate of KTR’s father and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, has fallen apart from the latter after the inauguration of Ramanujacharya statue at Chinna Jeeyar Swamy ashram on the outskirts of Hyderabad in February 2022.
Since then, KCR and his family has been keeping Rameshwar Rao at bay, suspecting that he has become closer to the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Centre. In the last one and a half years, there were no instances of Rameshwara Rao meeting KCR or KTR.
So, there is no surprise if KTR refused to step into the studio owned by Rameshwar Rao!
