Komatireddy Somersaults Again!

Strange are the ways of Congress MLA from Munugode Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy. After openly declaring that he would be quitting the Congress party and joining the Bharatiya Janata Party, he seems to have taken a U-turn.

On Thursday, Rajagopal Reddy declared that he was not going to join the BJP. “I have neither got any invitation from the BJP nor do I have any intention to join the party,” he said.

He, however, defended his remarks that there was no future for the Congress in Telangana and BJP was the only party which could take on the TRS.

“I only reflected the factual position. I only said it in the interest of the party. If the present leadership in the state Congress party continues, the party will have no future,” he said. Readmore!

Interestingly, Rajagopal Reddy attended the assembly and sat along with the other Congress members.

He even went to the Speaker’s office in the evening along with the others to complain against the 12 Congress MLAs who had merged with the Telangana Rashtra Samithi.

The Munugode MLA, who had praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his revolutionary decisions, gave a written explanation to the PCC disciplinary committee which recommended action against him.

But somehow, Rajagopal Reddy seems to have managed the high command and ensured that no action was taken against him.
