Komatireddy, Revanth To Try Luck In LS Polls?

Former MLAs Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and A Revanth Reddy, who had been in deep shock over their unexpected defeat in the recent assembly elections, are desperate to stage a comeback into active politics.

For, they know if they don’t have any elected posts, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi government would ruin their political career by digging up all sorts of cases against them and see that they would not recover again once and for all.

So, after lying low for a few weeks, both Komatireddy and Revanth Reddy are said to be planning to contest the Lok Sabha elections scheduled to be held in April and try their luck.

If they emerge victorious in the elections, they could get back their glory and bounce back by next elections. Otherwise, they would have to suffer heavy political loss. Readmore!

That is precisely why Komatireddy told his followers and party workers in Nalgonda that he would contest the coming Lok Sabha elections from Nalgonda parliamentary constituency.

The seat was won by the Congress party last time, but Gutha Sukhender Reddy who represented the Congress then, defected to the TRS.

Komatireddy claimed that he had already got the nod from the Congress high command for his contest from Nalgonda Lok Sabha seat.

“AICC president Rahul Gandhi had given me the approval and I will start my efforts right from now,” he said and exuded confidence that Congress will win both the MP seats in Nalgonda district.

On the other hand, Revanth is also said to be lobbying for the Congress ticket for Mahbubnagar Lok Sabha seat.

He feels that he has to enjoy some position, if he has to sustain in politics. However, his close relative and former Union minister S Jaipal Reddy has already announced his interest in contesting from Mahbubnagar LS seat.

It remains to be seen whom does the Congress high command prefer.
