Kodandaram to be Revanth's political advisor?

Acting swiftly within two days of taking over as the new chief minister of Telangana, A Revanth Reddy on Saturday sacked several advisors appointed by the previous K Chandrasekhar Rao government for various departments.

Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari issued orders to this effect. Apart from the advisors, other special officers appointed in various executive positions, were also sacked from their service.

The advisors who were sacked from their jobs are: Chief Advisor to the chief minister Somesh Kumar, Principal Advisor Rajiv Sharma, Cultural and Endowments Advisor K V Ramanachary, another principal advisor Chennamaneni Ramesh, advisor (home) Anurag Sharma, advisor (Muslim minority welfare) A K Khan and chief advisor (forest protection) Shobha.

Special officers who were shown the doors are: Irrigation advisor S K Joshi, special officers in finance department G R Reddy and Shivshankar, special advisor (vastu) in Roads and Buildings department Suddala Sudhakar Teja, special officer (energy sector) Rajendra Prasad Singh and advisor of horticulture Srinivasa Rao. According to reports, former Telangana Joint Action Committee chairperson and retired Osmania University professor Prof M Kodandaram is likely to be appointed as the political advisor to chief minister A Revanth Reddy.

Besides, some other hardcore Telangana activists might also be accommodated in various positions in the administration, sources said.
