Kishan Reddy Admits Talking To Eatala, But..

Union minister of state for home G Kishan Reddy on Tuesday admitted that he had a talk with senior Telangana Rashtra Samithi leader and former Telangana health minister Eatala Rajender, but clarified that he had not met him.

The reports of Kishan Reddy flying down to Hyderabad along with another senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Bhupendra Rao to hold deliberations with Rajender at a farmhouse on the outskirts of Hyderabad created flutters in the political circles.

While Rajender remained silent and did not either condemn or confirm the reports, Kishan Reddy told reports that he had not met the former minister so far.

“It is true that I have spoken to Rajender, but it was only over telephone. I will definitely meet him and hold talks in the coming days,” Reddy clarified. Readmore!

He reminded that he had been a colleague of Rajender in the assembly for nearly 15 years.

“Therefore, I have a lot of intimacy with him. So, there is nothing wrong in meeting him,” he said.

Kishan Reddy said Rajender had proposed to meet him, as he had been meeting everybody.

“But I have not decided yet when to meet him,” he said.

To a question, the Union minister said he had not discussed with the party high command whether to field a candidate in Huzurabad assembly constituency, in the event of holding by-elections, if Rajender resigns from his assembly membership.

At the same time, Kishan Reddy dismissed the rumours that he had been favouring Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

“I will leave it to the god and the wisdom of those who campaign that I am favouring KCR. But as a Union minister, I will definitely help the state if there is any need,” he asserted.
