It is a normal practice that any pundit engaged by any political party to read out Panchangam (almanac) on Ugadi day, predicts bright days ahead in the year for the leader of the party.
Whether it is the Bharat Rashtra Samithi or the Congress or the Bharatiya Janata Party in Telangana and the YSR Congress party or the Telugu Desam Party in Andhra Pradesh – the pundits engaged by them read out the yearly predictions in favour of the respective party presidents.
However, Bachampalli Santosh Kumar Sarma of Sarada Peetham, who was engaged by the Telangana government to read out the almanac, sounded a word of caution for BRS president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
He said though the government would largely overcome hurdles in various fields, the king (read: chief minister KCR) would face certain troubles from some individuals.
“He has to be very cautious in dealing with them,” Sarma said, apparently indicating troubles from the Centre.
The pundit also warned that some irregularities in the education department would spell troubles for the BRS government.
He also sounded troubles on the law and order front in the form of communal clashes and social conflicts, causing embarrassment to the government.
However, Sarma said the state government would get favourable judgments from the state high court and the Supreme Court.
“There are going to be major changes in the state and central governments this year,” he predicted.
The pundit also indicated that there would be some interesting developments in Telangana politics in October, November and December. These three months would be a turbulent period I the state politics, which would be interesting for the people of Telangana people.
Let us see how far these predictions would come true.
