KCR gives 2 seats to BSP, including Hyderabad!

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) led by former Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday announced allocation of two seats to Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) as part of the alliance between the two parties.

The seat sharing was finalised following talks between KCR and BSP state president and retired IPS officer R S Praveen Kumar at the former’s residence in Hyderabad on Thursday night.

Though KCR offered only one seat – Nagarkurnool – to the BSP, Praveen Kumar insisted on two seats. So, KCR offered the Hyderabad Lok Sabha seat to the BSP, as it is only a dummy contest because it is the bastion of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen president Asaduddin Owaisi.

KCR knows that even if the BRS contests from Hyderabad, it won’t win the seat. So, he readily gave it to the BSP and Praveen Kumar had to accept it. The BSP chief himself will be contesting from Nagarkurnool Lok Sabha seat. Readmore!

So far, the BRS chief announced candidates for 11 seats – B Vinod Kumar from Karimnagar, Bajireddy Goverdhan from Nizamabad, Manne Srinivas Reddy from Mahabubnagar, Dr Kadiam Kavya (daughter of senior BRS MLA Kadiam Srihari) from Warangal, Kasani Gnaneshwar Mudiraj from Chevella, Gali Anil Kumar from Zaheerabad, Shambhipur Raju from Malkajgiri, Atram Sakku from Adilabad, Koppula Eshwar from Peddapalli, Nama Nageshwar Rao from Khammam and Maloth Kavitha from Mahabubabad.
