KCR drops two more sitting MLAs!

Bharat Rashtra Samithi president and Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday dropped bombshell on two more sitting legislators of his party to accommodate his loyalists.

The two legislators who would be facing the axe are: Muthireddy Yadagiri Reddy from Jangaon in Jangaon district and Chilumula Madan Reddy from Narsapur in Medak district.

As has been expected, KCR chose his staunch loyalist and legislative council member Palla Rajeshwar Reddy as the candidate for Jangaon in place of Muthireddy, who has been facing a lot of allegations of corruption and land grabbing, though he was one of the strong Telangana activists.

Similarly, in Narsapur, KCR preferred former minister Vakiti Sunitha Laxma Reddy, who had defected from the Congress into the BRS after 2018 assembly elections. The three-time MLA from Naraspur was earlier appointed as the chairperson of the Telangana state women’s commission. Readmore!

Apart from Jangaon and Narsapur, the BRS president also announced candidates two more constituencies which he had kept pending while announcing the list of candidates for 115 assembly constituencies on August 21.

For Goshamahal constituency, KCR fielded Nandakishore Vyas, a businessman-turned-politician and philanthropist, who had unsuccessfully contested against Bharatiya Janata Party’s controversial candidate T Raja Singh.

Similarly, for Nampally, KCR fielded one Anand Goud, who is anyway a just dummy candidate, as the constituency is represented by the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), a friendly part of the BRS.

Interestingly, KCR has not taken any decision yet on Malkajgiri, where he had given the ticket to sitting MLA Mynampalli Hanmanth Rao, though he had revolted against the party and made some controversial comments on KCR family.

Sources said the BRS chief would take a call shortly on dropping Mynampalli and give the ticket to another candidate, most probably M Rajasekhar Reddy, son-in-law of labour minister Ch Malla Reddy.
