Kavitha turns saffron, speaking BJP language!

For quite some, there had been a talk that the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has been hand in glove with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Before the recent assembly elections, this narrative had gained ground strongly among the people.

Especially, the inaction by the BJP central leadership against BRS MLC and party president K Chandrasekhar Rao’s daughter Kalvakuntla Kavitha in the Delhi liquor scam lent credence to this talk. It proved costly for the BRS, helping the Congress come to power.

Now that the elections are over, Kavitha has started speaking the saffron language rather openly. Readmore!

On Monday, Kavitha issued a statement supporting BJP protest against the comments made by Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam leaders against “Sanatan Dharma,” and questioned the silence of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on the same.

“Some leaders these days choose to attack on religious sentiments of the people for their two minutes of fame! I want to ask Mr. Election Gandhi his stand on the issue of Sanatan Dharma - why has he not given any statement on this as yet? It’s high time that Rahul Ji comes out of his PR Bubble and answers to the people of India,” she tweeted.

Speaking to reporters, Kavitha said anti-Hinduism has been in the DNA of the Congress.

“The DMK leaders are speaking in the tone of dividing the country on religious lines. Yet, the Congress has not uttered a word against the DMK,” she said.

She also demanded that Rahul Gandhi should disclose his stand on “Hijab” controversy in Karnataka.

“He should explain whether he is supporting the decision of the Karnataka government on removal of restrictions on Hijab,” she said.

The statement from Kavitha sounded strange, as his father had been strongly opposing Hijab controversy. KCR also maintained good relations with DMK led by M K Stalin and held several meetings in the past. He never made any statement against DMK philosophy.

On Sunday, too, Kavitha welcomed the decision of Narendra Modi government’s decision of suspending the Wrestling Federation of India’s (WFI) newly elected body.

“Our wrestlers have brought pride to us, many women could dream of representing India on the global stage. They deserve a fair and transparent system. May this decision pave the way for a stronger future for Indian wrestling,” she said.

A few days ago, Kavitha also welcomed Modi government’s decision to inaugurate Ram temple in Ayodhya.

“It is a welcome development. The consecration of Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy idol at Ayodhya temple will realise the dream of crores of Hindus across the country. These movements will be welcomed by not only the people of Telangana, but of the entire country. Jai Sitaram,” she tweeted.

She also issued another statement on Bhagawad Gita, the sacred text of Hindus.

“One who indulges in ongoing action and is engaged in regular study of the Bhagwad Gita, is free and happy in this world and is not bound by karma,” she said.

Stating that Bhagwad Gita is truly the way and the means of life, Kavitha said: “My best wishes to everyone on the auspicious ocassion of Gita Jayanti. May the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita illuminate our lives with wisdom and purpose.”
