Bellamkonda Srinivas is desperately looking to score a hit after his big budget films like Jaya Janaki Nayaka and Sakshyam tanked at the box office. This time he has teamed up with a first timer Srinivas Mamilla for Kavacham, a cop thriller.
Bellamkonda plays cop character for the first time in his career and he looks macho in the khakhi uniform.
Kajal and Mehreen are playing female leads and Bollywood actor Neil Nitin Mukesh is the villain. The trailer of Kavacham is action packed with an overdose of punch lines.
It is an intense action thriller where a cop and corporate criminal lock horns. The setup looks similar to Ram Charan's Dhruva.
However, this seems to be done in a way that appeals to the masses with all the commercial elements packed in.
Can Bellamkonda Srinivas finally hit the bull's eye with this action film? Kavacham is slated for release on Dec 7.
Naveen Sontineni bankrolled the film on his Vamsadhara Creations banner. Thaman is the music director and Chota K. Naidu is the man behind the camera.
