Journos In Parkala Team Lose Jobs!

During the 2014 elections, one of the main slogans of Telugu Desam Party was: “Job kaavalante Babu raavali” (If you want to job, party president N Chandrababu Naidu should be voted to power).

It was one of the factors that brought Naidu to power, as he promised government job to every unemployed youth in the youth.

One does not know whether any youth had really got any job or not, it is for sure that youth have lost their existing jobs.

Why going to any other office, even journalists who had been doing donkey’s job in the CMO as public relations officers have lost their jobs in the recent past. Readmore!

These journalists were working in the team of Parakala Prabhakar, erstwhile communications advisor to the Chief Minister.

Parakala relinquished his post last month and refused to continue despite requests by Naidu to stay back.

While leaving the job, he surrendered his team to the CMO stating that it was for Naidu to decide whether or not to keep the journalists working in the team.

But, within weeks of Parakala, Naidu government sacked five senior journalists of the team, though they had been doing their jobs sincerely by giving massive publicity to Naidu. Now, all of them were thrown on the roads, much to the shock of the Secretariat employees.

Not that Naidu is not aware of the fact that it is difficult for the journalists to get fresh jobs in the mainstream media in the prevailing circumstances, especially after working for the ruling party. If he really had sympathy for them, he could have accommodated them in the PR department in some or the other way. But he preferred to sack them.

After all, nobody knows better than Naidu in following use-and-throw policy!
