Jogaiah warns Pawan, as son joins YSRCP!

Even as veteran Kapu leader and former MP Chegondi Harirama Jogaiah, who has been warning Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan against falling into the trap of Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu, his son Chegondi Suryaprakash has joined the YSR Congress party on Friday.

Suryaprakash, who has been a political affairs committee member of Jana Sena Party and in-charge of Achanta assembly constituency, announced his resignation from the party.

He later met YSRCP president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy at his Tadepalli camp office and formally joined the YSRCP.

He said he was not happy with the way Pawan Kalyan has been ignoring the suggestions and advices given by his father for protecting the self-respect of Kapu community. Readmore!

“I believed that the YSRCP will uphold the honour of Kapus,” he said.

Around the same time, Jogaiah wrote an open letter to Pawan Kalyan stating that the latter was not taking kindly his advices for the growth of Jana Sena.

He alleged that the “yellow media” was trying to create a rift between him and Pawan Kalyan, so that the latter would surrender to Chandrababu Naidu.

He took strong exception to the campaign being unleashed by the pro-TDP media that he was a covert of Jagan Mohan Reddy in the Kapu community.

“I only cautioned you about the possibility of Naidu sidelining you. I tried to douse the fire ignited among the Kapus, when Lokesh declared Naidu as the chief minister and the TDP politburo would decide making you as the deputy CM,” he pointed out.

He pointed out that the Jana Sena Party workers were terribly upset when Pawan Kalyan accepted only 24 seats, though it had strong cadre and leaders in at least 40 constituencies.

“Obviously, Naidu did not want you to become a kingmaker in the formation of next government,” he said.

Jogaiah also reminded that he strongly desired roping the BJP into the TDP-Jana Sena alliance.

“Does it indicate that I am a YSRCP covert? I strongly believe that without Jana Sena Party’s support, it is impossible for the TDP to come to power. I still want to see you as the chief minister,” he asserted.
