Sycophancy seems to be reaching its peak in Andhra Pradesh. Some sychophants with an aim to impress AP CM Jagan are making attempts to put up Jagan's photos in universities in AP, which has now turned controversial.
Universities are autonomous bodies. Governor remains the chancellor of all universities. Normally, universities put up chancellor photos. But in AP, Jagan's supporters are trying to put up Jagan's photos in universities.
NTR University of Health Sciences in Vijayawada is facing wrath for sucn attempts.
Interestingly, NTRUHS vice chancellor CV Rao himself issued orders to put up Jagan's photo in his chambers.
This is being strongly opposed by fellow faculty members and students, who question the rationale behind putting up photos of politicians in universities.
Similar attempts are being made in other state-run universities in AP.
Interestingly, Jagan has been maintaining silence on this issue while this is creating trouble in universities.
It is also polluting universities and obstructing academic activities.
Politics can be done outside, but not on university campuses, which should function as centres of academics and reasearch.
