Jagan's masterstroke at critics, eyes Tirupati

After conquering all the municipalities and municipal corporations, YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is now targeting the by-elections to Tirupati parliamentary seat.

Apparently deciding to strike when the iron is hot, Jagan has decided to fly down to Tirupati in Tuesday to pay obeisance to Lord Venkateshwara of Tirumala to thank the god for the party’s success in the municipal elections.

Jagan will have an overnight stay in Tirumala and have an early morning darshan of Lord Venkateshwara on Wednesday morning. He would also open the new Boondi Potu (kitchen) built at Tirumala at a cost of Rs 21 crore.

The chief minister’s visit to Tirupati and Tirumala is once again aimed at rebutting the criticism against him in the wake of attacks on temples in the recent past. Readmore!

Since the municipal elections have endorsed the people’s faith in his government, Jagan can now go ahead with his decisions without any hesitation.

Jagan’s visit is expected to kickstart the preparations of the party for the by-elections to Tirupati parliamentary seat.

It is believed that he would hold discussions with the party leaders in Tirupati airport to finalise the candidate for the by-polls.
