Jagan Warns Corrupt MLAs!

Ever since he took over as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, YSR Congress party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is trying to create the impression among the people that he is going to give a corruption-free administration.

It was essential for Jagan to emphasise on eradication of corruption, because he has to get rid of the stigma of corruption attached to him over the last seven years.

With the Central Bureau of Investigation into his alleged illegal assets case still haunting him, he is making every effort to see that he should get a clean image.

That is precisely why the chief minister gave a strict warning to his party MLAs during the Collectors conference being held at Praja Vedika on Monday. Readmore!

He said his government would not support any MLA who is involved in the irregularities under any circumstances.

“There is no question of coming to the rescue of the MLAs, if they indulge in corruption. The government will not tolerate anyone, no matter how big or whatever the position he might be in,” Jagan said.

He asked the collectors not to entertain any petition that was brought to them by the MLAs, if it involved corruption and looting of public money.

“In all the other issues, you should take them into confidence while taking up any government work,” he said.

Jagan knows it is very difficult to control the MLAs from making money through corrupt practices, as they had spent huge money to win the elections. But, at least for public consumption, he has to make such a statement.
