Now that the Election Commission of India announced the schedule for the conduct of assembly elections and Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh and the YSR Congress party has announced the list of candidates for both the elections, it is time for party president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy to get into action mode.
The chief minister has decided to kickstart a massive campaign of the party by taking up a bus yatra across the length and breadth of the state. The bus yatra will start in another week, probably from the 26th or 27th of this month, and it will last for 21 days, the party said in a statement.
The YSRCP is set to release full details on the campaign on Tuesday. Following the bus campaign, the YSRCP has prepared to conduct an election campaign meeting. The party has also decided to conduct Sabhas in all the regions, and names have also been prepared for the meetings.
This Yatra will be held in all districts except the 4 districts where Siddham preparatory meetings have already happened. There will be Interaction session in the morning and a public meeting in the afternoon.
As part of the interaction, suggestions would be received from the people to further improve the performance of the government, the party statement said.
