Jagan Taking Unconstitutional Decisions: Raju

Rebel YSRCP MP from Narasapuram parliamentary constituency K Raghurama Krishnam Raju, who has been making tall claims that he continues to be loyal to the party and also party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, has exposed his complete disloyalty.

On Tuesday, Raju met President of India Ram Nath Kovind and lodged a complaint against the Jagan Mohan Reddy government with serious comments.

In fact, his allegations in the letter appear to be far more serious than those made by the TDP MPs in their letter to the President last week.

He accused Jagan of taking a series of unconstitutional and anti-public decisions, which warrants the immediate intervention of the Centre to save Indian democracy and protect the rights of the people. Readmore!

The YSRC MP said Amaravati was declared as the new capital of Andhra Pradesh after following all the Constitutional processes and procedures, in accordance with the Andhra Pradesh Re-organisation Act, 2014 passed by the Parliament.

He reminded that the YSRC which was in opposition in 2014 also accepted Amaravati as the capital, foundation for which was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 22 2015.

And it was subsequently recognised by the Parliament of lndia as per the Constitutional provisions, norms and practices.

He said several developmental works had been taken up in the capital and tremendous infrastructure was established in Amaravati.

“Now the present YSRC government is trying to trifurcate the capital into three capitals, with an absolute and most disdainful contempt,” he said.

Raju said the three capitals model would certainly ruin the development of the green-field capital city of Amaravati, as enormous public and private funds have already been spent by the Centre and state governments.

“The South African concept of three capital cities will make the state face political and social death, along with dividing the people on the lines of regions and caste,” he argued.

He said the bills had not been passed by the legislative council which referred them to the select committee.

“But, the present state government by wielding its muscle power has unconstitutionally and illegally stalled the said move by freezing the process of study by the select committee by misusing the offices of secretary of legislature,” he said.
