Jagan Makes Warring Leaders Shake Hands!

In an interesting twist the group rivalries within YSRC party in Gannavaram constituency in Krishna district, party president and CM Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday made two bitter rivals shake hands.

It is an open secret that Gannavaram MP Vallabhaneni Vamsi, who defected from the Telugu Desam Party into the YSRC, has been running a feud with his arch rival Yarlagadda Venkat Rao and another YSRC leader Dutta Ramchandra Rao for the last few months.

Both the warring groups had been trying to meet Jagan and present their version.

On Thursday, Jagan himself came to the constituency to participate in the Jagananna Vidya Kanuka programme and noticed leaders of the two groups keeping away from each other. Readmore!

He called both Vamsi and Yarlagadda and made them shake hands. He asked them to work together and strengthen the party. However, it did not seem to work with the warring groups. While Vamsi smiled in agreement, Yarlagadda looked the other way.

When Yarlagadda tried to speak to the chief minister, the latter did not pay attention to him and moved forward. In a way, Jagan indicated that Yarlagadda should cooperate with Vamsi and accept the latter’s leadership.

It remains to be seen what future course of action Yarlagadda would take, if Jagan did not pay attention to his complaints against Vamsi.
