Now, this lady has come under fire from the Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy government.

On Tuesday, she received a show-cause notice from chief secretary Aditya Nath Das for allegedly violating service rules in getting her extraordinary leave (EOL) into earned/half-pay leave for the period of her stay abroad in 2005-06.

In his notice, the chief secretary pointed out that she had directed her sub-ordinates under her control in the Union health department in February last year to convert her EOL into EL.

“As per the rules, the state government is the competent authority to take a decision on her leave conversion. She did not take the concurrence of either the state government or the Department of Personnel and Training of the Government of India,” the notice said.

The chief secretary sought to know why disciplinary proceedings under relevant rules should not be initiated for the above said lapse within two weeks from the date of receipt of the notice.

“If no reply is received, it will be construed that she has no explanation to offer and further action will be taken based on the material available,” the chief secretary said.
