Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is confident of solving the sand issues by end of November.

The chief minister held a review meeting with the officials on the sand issues and expressed confidence that flood water would recede by November end to start sand excavation.

Jagan Mohan Reddy said that all rivers in the State were overflowing with flood water. The gates of all reservoirs in the state are opened for a long time after several decades.

The flood water would increase the groundwater table and thus would be of great help to the farmers, he said.

The chief minister asked the opposition parties to visit the reservoirs before blaming the government on the sand problem.

“People are not buying the lies of the opposition parties on sand issues. They know what happened in the last five years and how sand became a major source of revenue to the leaders,” Jagan Mohan Reddy said.

He took light of the Jana Sena’s long march held in Visakhapatnam the other day and said the opposition parties were exposed at the event as people knew the real reason for the sand scarcity.

The chief minister also observed that the nexus between the TDP and Jana Sena was exposed at the Visakhapatnam event.

“Now, it is clear that the TDP and Jana Sena are one and the same. They are not the two parties. They are one party with two different names,” Jaganmohan Reddy observed.
