If Sai Reddy takes up the appointment as special representative of the government with cabinet rank, he will be liable for disqualification from Rajya Sabha. So, he was compelled to give up the official post.

Sources said Jagan is now looking for another senior leader of the party for the appointment as government’s special representative in New Delhi.
