Jagan begins 41-day yagam to return to power!

With just around a month left for the assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh, YSR Congress party president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is not leaving any chances to return to power.

On Monday, Jagan began a 41-day long Sahastra Chandi Yagam to appease the divine forces and seek their blessings to help him coming back to power for a second successive term.

The Vedic pundits, chanting hymns, made Jagan take a sankalpam for the yagam at the Venkatachalampalle night stay point in Nellore district and gave him the blessings.

Though Jagan will not participate in the yagam for all the 41-days, the yagam will continue in his absence and he might join on the last day, when the priests perform the Purnahuti. Readmore!

The Raja Shyamala Sahastra Chandi Yagam is being organised by AP Tourism Development Corporation chairman Arimanda Varaprasad Reddy in coordination with YSRCP leader Padamata Suresh Babu, to appease the gods for the victory of Jagan and help him continue the welfare government.

The yagam will be conducted by priests Nallapeddi Sivarama Prasada Sarma and Gouravagghula Nagendra Sarma.

In 2017, too, Varaprasada Reddy commenced this Sahastra Chandi Yagam in Hyderabad for the victory of Jagan in 2019 elections. The yagam went on non-stop for 23 months and concluded in July 2019, after Jagan came to power.

Later, Jagan also performed Maha Rudra Sahitha Dwi Sahasra Chandi Yagam at Tadepalli camp office in Amaravati, but also performed “Purnahuti” while pundits were chanting Vedic hymns.

The pundits also offered divine blessings to the chief minister.
