YSRC chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has called on party leaders to challenge the state government over its numerous lapses and policies that he described as “apathetic” to the people.
The former Chief Minister, who was on a three-day visit to Pulivendula in the Kadapa district, interacted with leaders and party members at his camp office in Bhaskarapuram, Pulivendula town, on Sunday.
He noted that his government was pro-poor during its five-year term. "Every ordinary family in the state benefited from the welfare schemes, and they are all with us," he expressed confidently. He assured YSRC cadres that they need not fear, as the party will stand by every party worker.
Highlighting his successful implementation of welfare schemes across the state, Jagan Reddy stated that the majority of the people still supported his party.
According to party sources, Jagan Reddy will reach Idupulapaya on Monday morning to pay tribute to his father, YS Rajasekhar Reddy, at the memorial on the former CM’s death anniversary. After attending prayers, Jagan Reddy will travel to Tadepalli by helicopter.
APCC chief YS Sharmila is also scheduled to offer prayers at the YS Rajasekhar Reddy memorial in Idupulapaya on Monday around 8 a.m. She is expected to arrive after her brother departs for Tadepalli at around 7:30 a.m.
