Is Pawan Disappointed With NDA Meet?

The BJP at the Centre organized a meeting of the NDA partners in Delhi on Tuesday.

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan was the only non-BJP leader invited from the two Telugu States to attend the NDA meeting.

The BRS in Telangana, the TDP, and the YSR Congress in Andhra Pradesh chose to remain neutral. They were neither invited by the BJP-led NDA nor the Congress-led INDIA.

Pawan Kalyan had high hopes that he would get a chance to speak to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP national president J P Nadda at the NDA meeting. Readmore!

Even before attending the meeting, he spoke about the BJP-TDP-Jana Sena alliance in Andhra Pradesh to defeat the ruling YSR Congress.

To his surprise, he did not get an opportunity to meet any of the leaders and discuss the alliance as he desired.

The Jana Sena chief is said to be upset after this meeting, mainly because he could not advocate for the alliance with the TDP in Andhra Pradesh.

The only relief he got from the BJP leaders was a breakfast meeting with Union Minister and AP BJP incharge, Muralidharan, on Wednesday.

It is said that Pawan Kalyan strongly advocated for an alliance with the TDP and requested Muralidharan to take up the issue with the party's top leadership.

It remains to be seen how far Muralidharan will support the TDP with the party high command, as requested by Pawan Kalyan.
