Is Kejriwal following Jagan in Covid 19 handling?

It looks as if Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal is following his Andhra Pradesh counterpart in dealing with the Covid 19, if one goes by the couple of incidents.

Kejriwal wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi last week, hours after AP chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy wrote the letter.

Interestingly, the two chief minister’s had the same content in the letter and had come up with same proposals.

The two chief ministers suggested that the technology and formula of Covaxin of Bharat Biotech is shared with other manufacturers to meet the demand. Readmore!

The chief ministers, in their letters to Modi, felt that the Bharat Biotech was not able to supply the required number of doses for the state governments.

A week after this letter, there was almost accidental coincidence where both Jagan Mohan Reddy and Kejriwal writing letters to the Prime Minister on Saturday.

While Jagan Mohan Reddy advised the Prime Minister to withdraw supply of vaccine to the private hospitals, Kejriwal came up with some suggestions on the vaccine.

The Delhi chief minister wanted the Prime Minister to encourage more number of domestic and foreign manufacturers to share Covaxin formula and produce more number of doses.

He also suggested that the Central government invite foreign manufacturers to start Covaxin manufacturing in India to meet the demand.

The Delhi CM also wanted the Prime Minister to request some of the countries which have procured more number of vaccines than required, to share the extra doses with India.

Kejriwal also wanted the Central government to buy the vaccine from manufacturers and supply them to the states.

There appears some sync between the two chief ministers and if that is true, will it be an indication for the new alliance in the 2024 elections!

Kejriwal is having good relationship with West Bengal chief minister Mamatha Benerji, while Jagan has healthy relationship with Tamil Nadu chief minister M K Stalin.
