The social media is active since yesterday talking about the return of prodigal son, Jupudi Prabhakara Rao, to the YSR Congress.
The TDP social media wing limited its comments to the defection, while there is a split view from the YSR Congress.
There is total resentment among the YSR Congress activists, who rejected the return of Jupudi to the party, while some, who are too loyal to Jaganmohan Reddy, struggled hard to justify the decision.
Those who opposed Jupudi had one reason that he had criticised Jaganmohan Reddy’s family members, when he was in the TDP.
They said claimed that the Mala community, to which Jupudi belongs, accepted Jaganmohan Reddy without Jupudi and there was no need for Jagan to welcome Jupudi as a representative of the Mala community.
But, those who want to justify Jagan’s action in welcoming Jupudi found some strategy behind this readmission.
Whatever is the argument, the big question doing round is that is Jupudi so important to the YSR Congress now?
This question comes because of the presence of Parliamentary Party leader Vijayasai Reddy at the return of Jupudi. When Jupudi met Jaganmohan Reddy, the MP was present, and greeted Jupudi.
It is said that Vijayasai Reddy had used a chartered flight from Delhi to Vijayawada and back to Delhi, only to see the smooth re-entry of Jupudi into the party.
Vijayasai Reddy few from Delhi by a chartered flight and went back after Jupudi was admitted into the party. This is slowly spreading among the rank and file posing the question that why is Jupudi so important to the party when it had won 151 Assembly seats.
It is Jagan and Vijayasai Reddy who should answer this question and pacify the angry activists who are opposing Jupudi’s return.
