Actor Shivaji made an interesting statement during an interview given to journalist Prabhu for a channel.
Speaking about global developments like Iran war and their possible impact, he drew attention to the growing importance of an alternative international hub.
Shivaji said, "Dubai at present is making the world think once. Just with a small war the city is shaking. The only city that can be an alternative to Dubai in this nation is Amaravathi. Be it for South East Asia, for Western countries, or to reach the Middle East, Amaravathi has all potential to become the biggest hub."
He further explained his point by referring to the importance of aviation logistics and transit infrastructure.
According to him, "Flights do need service stations as they travel multiple hours. Such a service station is under plan to establish. He (Chandrababu) said this not now but in 2014 itself."
Shivaji’s geographical outlook and his confidence in Amaravathi’s strategic potential make his comments particularly interesting.
His remarks highlight how the region, if developed with the right aviation infrastructure, could emerge as a significant connectivity hub linking multiple international routes.
The bottom line is that Amaravathi has the potential to emerge as an international aviation hub that is strategically located in the region, as per Shivaji.
Well, Shivaji’s remarks have now become a subject of online trolling and discussion. Many people say that comparing Amaravathi with Singapore was already pushed too far by TDP supporters, and now the comparison has been extended to Dubai as well.
More than the Iran war itself, Dubai should probably start worrying about Amaravathi emerging as a powerful competitor.
