This was evident from the way the Prime Minister made a special mention of Ramoji Rao in his monthly programme, Mann Ki Baat, for taking a keen interest in the promotion of the Swachh Bharat Mission.

According to reports from New Delhi, the Prime Minister, in his 100th episode of Mann Ki Baat to be broadcast on April 30, is said to have praised Ramoji Rao for providing extensive coverage to the Swachh Bharat Mission through his media house.

The fact that Modi himself has high praise for Ramoji Rao shows the clout the media baron enjoys at the Centre. Since Modi himself has shown respect towards him, it is unlikely that any central agency will target him in the near future.

While the Andhra CID authorities are going all out to dismantle his financial roots by targeting the Margadarsi Chit Funds company, it may not affect him much as long as he has central protection, say analysts.
