Half-a-dozen AP ministers unlikely to get tickets?

If the reports from the power corridors of Tadepalli are to be believed, at least half a dozen ministers in the Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy cabinet might not be given the party tickets to contest the next assembly elections, scheduled to be held early next year.

According to party sources, Jagan has already started the exercise of shortlisting the YSR Congress party candidates in key constituencies of the state.

He has already obtained feedback from various sources on the wining prospects of the candidates.

“By now, he has a fair idea as to who would win easily, who would face a tough contest and who would lose. So, it is unlikely that he would give one last chance to the non-performers,” sources said. Readmore!

Though it is not immediately known whether he would announce the candidates well in advance, sources said at least half a dozen minsters among others would be denied the party tickets to contest.

They include an overenthusiastic minster from North Andhra, a controversial minister from Godavari districts, a couple of loud-mouth ministers from central Andhra and two others, including a woman minister, from Rayalaseema.

There are also doubts over another woman minister from central Andhra getting the party ticket, sources said.

It is learnt Jagan has been sounding them that they would be dropped; yet they are trying their best to impress the boss, so that they would get least MLC posts in future.
