Good days ahead for India after Trump's win

In what is considered as the biggest political comeback, Donald Trump has secured victory in the 2024 U.S. presidential election, marking his return to the White House four years after losing his re-election attempt in 2020.

In a race that was watched closely across the world, Trump clinched key battleground states, propelling him to victory over Democratic opponent Kamala Harris.

Trump’s ability to mobilize voters in the Rust Belt states, as well as in Florida and Texas, proved decisive.

The road to victory was not simple for Trump. Hundreds of cases were filed against him and over three assassination attempts were made, yet he survived all of these.

Besides these many celebrities had rallied with Democratic candidate Kamala Harries supporting her black race. However Trump fought this almost single handedly with almost none supporting him. Except Elon Musk.

Indian Americans showed support for the Grand old Party and Trump in particular, due to his connections with Modi and his general support for Hindus, his recent tweet about Bangladeshi Hindus also said to have made a big difference in the mindsets of those who traditionally had voted for Democratic candidate.

Besides, Kamala Harris never associated herself to India nor made any public statement about her Indian origin.

For the first time many Indian Americans were politically active ensuring Trump win is needed for the United States!

For the very first time many ethnic groups came together and ensured the message to make Trump win is transcended to others in the community. Hoardings in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi were setup to give it a native touch for the electorals.

Counties like Tarrant, Dallas in Texas that were traditionally strongholds of democrats were flipped to Republicans.

Especially the Telugu entrepreneurs who own small medium businesses like consulting firms strongly supported the cause for Trump’s win, as they believed the economy and the job market would bounce back.
