'Godfather' Collections Suffering In These Areas

Observing the figures of 'Godfather' collections, it gives a shock. Though the film is embraced as a hit by the audience, the numbers are not matching with the expectation.

The film was sold out at Rs 20 Cr towards Naizam distribution on which the distributor spent Rs 2 Cr towards publicity. All put together the total recovery (share) should be Rs 22 Cr to make a breakeven.

But looking at the trend the trade analysts say that the share of the distributor would stop anywhere between Rs 12 Cr and Rs 14 Cr leaving him with a huge loss. A Chiranjeevi film bringing in only RS 15 Cr to the distributor is really shocking news.

Pawan Kalyan and Mahesh Babu's films are in the range of Rs 30 Cr and above. Allu Arjun's Ala Vaikunthapuramulo collected more than Rs 42 Cr in Naizam. Readmore!

So technically, Godfather is an average grosser but still needs to pick up to make a breakeven at the theatrical business.

On the other hand, even overseas collections are struggling to make a breakeven. So far it crossed USD 1 Million but to make a breakeven it has to see a collection beyond USD 1.5 Million which is far away to run and reach.
