A long-standing bond in Tollywood’s Nizam circuit appears to be nearing a break.
For years, Sithara Entertainments films were distributed in Nizam by SVC. Now, that arrangement seems almost over.
The immediate change begins with Funky, set to release this month. The film will be distributed in Nizam by Annapurna Studios, not SVC.
That’s not all. Several key Nizam producers are reportedly in talks to route their releases through Annapurna.
Sources say producers like Bapineedu, Satish Kilaru, and Supriya are discussing distribution deals with Annapurna.
After Funky, Annapurna is expected to release its own film Decoit, followed by a Naga Chaitanya–Bapineedu–Karthik Dandu combination film through the same banner.
With more films lining up, industry circles say preparations are on to channel multiple Nizam releases via Annapurna.
How far this shift goes and where it finally settles; remains to be seen.
