When Sithara Entertainments bought the Telugu remake rights of Malayalam hit Ayyappanum Koshiyum, they wanted to make it a medium-budget multistarrer with mid-range stars.
However, it is turning out to be a big budget multi-starrer with Pawan Kalyan stepping into Ayyappa Nair’s character played by Biju Menon in the original.
Now, the makers are puzzled about whom to rope in for Koshy’s character in the remake.
Earlier Rana Daggubati was considered for Prithviraj’s character, but they are looking for bigger stars that can match up with the charisma and stardom of Pawan Kalyan.
It will be a big headache to find the right actor that can do justice to the character as well as add craze to the multistarrer.
Meanwhile, fans are not pleased with the choice of director. A relatively unknown Sagar K Chandra directing Pawan Kalyan’s film hasn’t impressed fans.
Sagar K Chandra may not have experience of directing big stars, but he has impressed with his work in Appatlo Okadundevadu and Ayyare movies.
