BRS President and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is reportedly very angry about the 'poor performance' of five ministers in his cabinet.
Speculations are rife in BRS circles that KCR has warned these five ministers to improve their performance; otherwise, he will be forced to deny them tickets to contest the upcoming Assembly elections scheduled for December this year.
These five ministers include Ch Malla Reddy, G. Jagadish Reddy, S. Niranjan Reddy, Koppula Eshwar, and Gangula Kamalakar.
Interestingly, two of the ministers, Koppula Eshwar and Gangula Kamalakar, hail from Karimnagar district, which is considered to be the bastion of BRS.
However, BRS suffered a setback in the Karimnagar Lok Sabha seat during the 2019 elections when BJP State President Bandi Sanjay defeated KCR's close aide B. Vinod Kumar.
After Etala Rajender from Karimnagar district quit TRS and joined BRS in 2021, BRS has been slowly losing ground. This finding reportedly emerged from surveys commissioned by KCR.
The surveys revealed that Koppula and Gangula failed miserably in checking the rise of Etala in Karimnagar district.
Similarly, Malla Reddy, with his frequent controversies of land grabbing and crores of rupees found in his educational institutions during I-T and ED raids, is causing damage to the reputation of BRS.
In Nalgonda district, Congress is growing stronger each day, and Minister Jagadish Reddy has failed to check this trend.
In Mahabubnagar district, Niranjan Reddy has been unsuccessful in preventing the rise of Congress, and Congress is gaining ground due to the impending joining of Jupally Krishna Rao and other BRS leaders.
