Exposed: Ex-CBI JD nexus with Naidu!

Even before former joint director of Central Bureau of Investigation V V Lakshminarayana took any official decision on joining the Telugu Desam Party, YSR Congress party was quick to react on the media reports and take political advantage of it.

YSR Congress official spokesman Ambati Rambabu said Lakshminarayana’s decision to contest the assembly elections from Bhimili constituency on the TDP ticket had clearly exposed the mala fide nexus between him and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu.

“Our stand that TDP had a nexus with the then CBI investigation officer is vindicated with the cop joining TDP and being given a ticket to contest from Bhimili as reported in the media, which is TDP a mouth piece,” he said.

He alleged that the case on YSRC president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy was foisted with political motives with Congress and TDP joining hands and the case was taken up in a tearing hurry by the CBI with VV Lakshminarayan being the Investigation Officer (IO) who went overboard to support TDP and its friendly media. “The in-camera information was leaked out to the friendly media and his phone was constantly sending and receiving messages and phone calls from the agents of Naidu. And many stories were planted during the course of investigation,” Ambati said.

He pointed out that Jagan was denied bail after the mandatory 90-day custody and Lakshminarayana had leaked the information from the records to media, breaking all service rules.

“When a petition was filed to look into the corruption charges against Chandrababu Naidu, the same CBI officer had said that it has shortage of staff which shows the dual standards,” he said.

Stating that the ex-CBI JD was very cooperative and accommodative with the TDP and its agents, Ambati said the charges framed were fictitious with mala fide intentions and there had been no proper evidence to establish them beyond reasonable doubt.
