Eatala, common candidate for Cong, BJP?

Telangana Rashtra Samithi led by chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has been playing all sorts of mind games in Huzurabad assembly constituency to defeat former state health minister and Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Eatala Rajender in the next week’s by-election.

The TRS leaders have first roped in three independent candidates with similar name – E Rajender to file their nominations, but the Election Commission authorities rejected their papers after scrutiny,

More recently, the TRS leaders have alleged that the EC had kept the Dalit Bandhu scheme in abeyance only after the BJP leaders made a representation to stop the scheme till the elections are over. The TRS thought Dalit Bandhu scheme would be a nemesis for Eatala in Huzurabad.

The latest allegation from none other TRS working president K T Rama Rao is that the BJP had joined hands with the Congress to defeat the TRS candidate. Readmore!

“Eatala Rajender is a common candidate for the Congress and the BJP. Let them condemn it, I shall disclose the proofs,” he said.

KTR alleged that in the past, too, the Congress and the BJP had secret understanding to defeat the TRS in Karimnagar and Nizamabad. Even in the by-election to Nagarjunasagar assembly seat, the two parties had an understanding to contain the TRS, he pointed out.

He pointed out that Revanth Reddy had a secret meeting with Eatala ahead of the Huzurabad polls.

“Even former Congress MP Vishweshwar Reddy openly appealed to the people to vote for Eatala,” he said.

The TRS working president reminded that former Punjab chief minister Amarinder Singh, who recently quit the Congress, alleged that the party would give a lot of priority to those with RSS background.

“Even in Telangana, there are Godses in Gandhi Bhavan,” he alleged.
