It has been nearly 20 months since the people of Andhra Pradesh have voted the Telugu Desam Party led by former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu out in the assembly elections and elected YSR Congress party led by Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy to power with a huge mandate.
Yet, Naidu doesn’t know why people had defeated him in the elections. Even now, he is yet to realise what he had done or had not done for the people that led to his humiliating defeat.
“I don't know what mistake I have committed. I have strived hard for development of each and everyone. But the people believed in the lies of YSR Congress party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and voted for him as they were in grip of a mass hysteria,” Naidu said.
He, however, felt that he might have definitely made some mistakes that made the people vote against him and his party and he thought of apologising for the same.
“Please forgive me if what I have done is a mistake," the TDP president said.
Naidu, however, accused Jagan of using untruths and half-truths to betray all sections of people in the state since he came to power. He said no farmer was happy and comfortable under the indifferent rule of Jagan Mohan Reddy.
He said that electricity meters should be fixed not on farmers’ pump sets but at the offices of the YSRC Ministers and MLAs all over the State.
Then, it would become clear how much and at what level they were looting the State through the sand, liquor, mining, betting, house sites and other forms of mafia.
“The people would come to know of the ministers' plundering in real time. The common public are facing a miserable time because of the YSRC leaders' excesses,” he alleged.
