Don't Have Time For Films, Says Pawan

The reports that appeared in the film pages of some Telugu newspapers that actor-turned-politician and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan will return to film industry soon to make some quick money before the forthcoming elections in Andhra Pradesh, surprised many.

The reports went on to say that Pawan has signed a film, which will be in tune with his political philosophy.

He will appear in the second half of the film that has a strong message for the people. He agreed to do the film since it would help him gain mileage in the elections.

At the same time, it will also help him make some quick money, said the reports, which also named the producer and director of the film.

However, in the evening, Pawan issued a statement saying there was no truth in the media reports that he would be acting in a new film.

“I have not signed new films, nor do I have time for them,” he said.

Pawan reiterated that he had completely dedicated his life to public service and will continue to strive for the people's welfare.

“I will be their voice. This is the time that I continue raising questions to the government and bring notice to the ruling leadership about their bad governance, hardships that people are facing due to their misrule. Films are not my focus. Striving for social equality will be my main motto,” he added.
