Actress Ananya Panday has reduced her fee to â¹50 lakh due to the underperformance of her last few films, according to a report. "Despite this massive slash in remuneration, Ananya is finding it hard to get new projects," a source was quoted as saying. Ananya's last three releases were 'Khaali Peeli', 'Gehraiyaan' and 'Liger'.
Over 8,000 Indians lodged in foreign jails
The Union Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan said that over 8,000 Indian nationals are presently lodged in prisons of foreign countries. "The number of Indian prisoners, including under-trials, in foreign jails at present is 8,441, out of which 4,389 are lodged in jails of Gulf countries," Muraleedharan said in response to a question in Lok Sabha.
Sahiti's MD to be sent to police custody in â¹900 cr fraud case
Hyderabad-based real estate firm Sahiti Infratec Venture's Managing Director Boodati Lakshmi Narayana will be sent to three-day custody of the Central Crime Station police from Saturday. He is being probed over allegations that the firm cheated 2,500 customers of â¹900 crore through various projects. His wife Parvathi and their son Sathvik have also been named as accused in the case.
220-kg gold seized during raids on premises of Vamsiram Builders
Income Tax officials seized cash and around 220 kg of gold on Thursday during raids on residences of Vamsiram Builders' Managing Director B Subba Reddy and his relatives in Hyderabad. Several land documents were reportedly recovered from the house of Reddy's son-in-law. Account books, allegedly containing details of hidden cash and transactions related to construction projects, were also seized.
