Prime Minister Narendra Modi adopted KCR's formula of Rythu Bandhu to win elections.
Modi announced PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme in Union Budget presented in Parliament today.
All the farmers owning less than 5 acres of land are eligible for the benefit. Each farmer will get Rs 6000 per year in their bank accounts per year in three instalments.
The first installment of Rs 2000 will be credited this month and second installment before polls in April.
The scheme will cost Rs 75000 crore for government exchequer and benefits 12 crore farmers across India.
