Akshaye’s recent hit performances increased his market value, after which he reportedly asked for Rs 21 crore to be part of Drishyam 3.

The makers felt this amount was too high and would disturb the film’s planned budget. Despite discussions, neither side was willing to change their stand on the payment issue.

Apart from money, there were also creative differences. Akshaye reportedly wanted to wear a wig for the role, but the makers refused as he appeared without one in Drishyam 2 and they wanted visual consistency.

With no agreement reached, Akshaye decided to step away. Sources say the separation was mutual and friendly, and both sides hope to work together again in the future.

Well, as per sources Akshaye Khanna was paid Rs 2 Cr for his role in "Dhurandhar".
