DevaDas is all set to hit the marquee on this Thursday. The film is riding on high expectations with two popular stars Nagarjuna and Nani teaming up for the first time.
The film has done tremendous business given the craze surrounding it. Pre release theatrical business of DevaDas is around Rs. 37.5 crore, which is the highest ever for both the actors.
Devadas fetched superb prices from Nizam and Ceded distributors although previous movies of both the actors tanked at the box office.
Trade is betting big on Devadas to take a fabulous opening and become a big hit considering the crowd pulling combination.
None of the films post Geetha Govindam has been successful. So Devadas needs to click as there is so much money at stake.
Devadas is clashing with Maniratnam’s Nawaab that is also releasing on Sep 27. It has only one week to make the most with Vijay Deverakonda’s NOTA slated for release on October 5.
Nani and Nagarjuna are aggressively promoting Devadas. Nagarjuna appeared on Nani’s Bigg Boss show in Sunday episode to promote the film.
