Production banner People Media Factory recently suffered heavy losses, reportedly over Rs 100 crore, following the disastrous performance of The Raja Saab starring Prabhas.
After the setback, producer T. G. Vishwa Prasad has largely stayed away from the spotlight, triggering speculation that he may scale back several planned Telugu projects.
There is also buzz that he may collaborate with Pawan Kalyan Creative Works for future Telugu ventures.
However, despite recent setbacks, People Media Factory appears keen on expanding into Bollywood.
The banner reportedly has bigger ambitions in the Hindi market and had paid an advance long ago to Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff. The production house is now said to be planning a film to utilize his dates.
Interestingly, Tiger Shroff himself is going through a rough phase in Bollywood after a series of underperforming films.
Reports suggest that People Media is looking to mount the project with a Telugu director, hoping to blend southern storytelling sensibilities with a Hindi star.
Whether this Bollywood gamble will pay off remains to be seen, but the move signals that the banner is not retreating despite recent financial blows.
