The total collection of Devara: Part 1 over eight days has reached Rs 221.85 crore (Nett).
Devara: Part 1 had very high expectations and partially managed to meet them. It opened strong with a massive Rs 82.5 crore across all languages on its first day.
However, the numbers have seen a gradual decline since. While the Telugu version has been experiencing a dip, the film's Hindi version has shown better consistency.
The Jr NTR starrer benefited from the Gandhi Jayanti holiday on Wednesday, pulling in Rs 20 crore. However, following that, the numbers dropped, with the film making single digits.
On Thursday, Devara earned Rs 7.25 crore, and on Day 8 (Friday), it brought in Rs 6.25 crore across all languages. This brings its total collection to Rs 221.85 crore after eight days.
The film has faced some competition from the Hollywood release Joker: Folie à Deux, which came out three days ago. Other than that, there hasn’t been any major Bollywood or South Indian film to challenge its run.
It's hoped that footfalls will pick up over the weekend, though the festive spirit of Navratri may have affected box office numbers, as many people are opting for garba nights rather than heading to the cinema.
