Criminal case against TDP MLA for abusing Roja!

At last, Telugu Desam Party MLA from Penamaluru in Krishna district Bode Prasad is facing a criminal case for his open abusive comments against YSR Congress party MLA and actress R K Roja in July this year.

The Hyderabad high court on Tuesday ordered the Krishna district police to file a criminal case against the TDP MLA for calling Roja a “prostitute” and accusing her of running a brothel.

The YSRC leaders had approached the high court, as the Penamaluru police refused to act on their complaint and register a case against the MLA stating that they would have to obtain permission from “higher-ups.”

After hearing the petition and arguments from both the sides, the high court ordered booking of a criminal case against Prasad.

At a party meeting in Penamaluru on July 9 this year, well in the presence of media persons,  the TDP MLA used foul language against Roja for alleging that he was involved in call-money sex racket.

Showing newspaper clippings of Roja’s charges against him, Prasad said: “Is she a woman? My stomach has been burning for three-and-a-half years. Every time she refers to me as 'Bode Prasad - sex racket - call money'. Based on her behaviour, our people will believe if I say that she is a prostitute (vyabichari).”

Prasad continued his tirade saying: “They will even believe if I say she is running a brothel. She accused me of being involved in a sex racket, but did she call me while running a brothel herself?"

He asked whether Roja had ever seen him lending money to anyone.

“In fact, I have taken loan from others….you will talk like this only if you are someone who eats grass and garbage. All these days, I excused you as you are a woman. If you come to my constituency this time, we will welcome you with chappals and eggs and we will see your end," Prasad said.
