CPI AP secretary K Ramakrishna made an appeal to the people to defeat the BJP in the impending by-election to the Tirupati Lok Sabha constituency.
He blamed the BJP leadership for betraying the people of AP by denying the bifurcation benefits.
He recalled that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had gone back on the promise that he made in Tirupati during the 2014 general election.
Ramakrishna also blamed the BJP and Narendra Modi for the disinvestment move of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant.
The CPI leader asked the people of Tirupati Parliamentary constituency to lay the seeds of defeat for BJP and Modi in this by-election.
He asked the people not to vote for the BJP.
However, he was silent on whom to vote. He didn't even say if his party would contest the election.
